Shock and Strut Replacement
Our expert mechanics want to keep your car driving smoothly; sometimes that means your car’s shocks and struts need to be replaced.
WHAT ACE DOES:
One of our mechanics or auto technicians will visually inspect your car’s suspension system. Struts and shocks are vital parts for your automobile, and crucial to the vehicle’s suspension system. If your ACE mechanic finds signs of aging, or wear and tear, we will recommend maintenance by way of providing replacement shocks and struts. We always ensure that the replacement parts meet or exceed your car’s manufacturer’s standards. A complete vehicle alignment may be necessary. We will advise you accordingly based on your car’s maintenance and repair needs.
WHAT YOUR SUSPENSION SYSTEM DOES:
Your vehicle’s suspension system has to both improve comfort by minimizing vibrations and bumps that can be transferred from the road into the passenger cabin, and also helps with the vehicle’s handling on the road. As your car parts age they sometimes need to be replaced. Pivotal parts like tie-rod ends and bushings, and ball joints can wear out. Hitting pot holes, or running over things at high speeds can also increase the damage done to these parts. Hitting a curb or running over a dear can mean it is time to have your shocks and other suspension parts checked or replaced. Worn shocks and struts can not only impact the cars ride and handling but can make your car unsafe.
HOW OFTEN DOES ACE RECOMMEND REPLACING SHOCKS AND STRUTS:
Most struts and shocks are recommended by vehicle manufacturers to be replaced at 50,000 miles. A thorough inspection is always required to ensure it is time for the suspension replacement. But if you recently hit a large pot hole, or other object, or if your car's ride begins to be less than ideal, it may be time to have your shocks and struts checked and replaced.
Ace Care Care Center always recommends following your vehicle manufacturer’s guidelines.
